25/10/2004 - Come join in the spooky fun for halloween

On Saturday 30 October from 11am until 3pm, Longtown Mini Sure Start Programme is hosting a Halloween fun day. Families are invited to come along and join in the fun.

There will be many free activities for children to enjoy throughout the day. These include; apple dunking, face painting, fancy dress competition, trick and treat bags, messy play in the haunted house and much more.

Cabinet spokesperson for education, councillor Joan Stocker said:

"Families are at the heart of our communities. The county council, together with Cumbria Sure Start and the Longtown Sure Start Programme provide vital support to both parents and children to ensure they get the best start in life in terms of their health, education and social well-being. I would encourage all families in the area to come along to this fun day. I am sure they will have a great day out."
