21/4/2005 - Wedding bells at Cumbria County Council

The Carlisle registrar will marry one of her Cumbria County Council colleagues at Tullie House at the weekend.

Louise Jeffrey, Carlisle's Superintendent Registrar, will perform the wedding ceremony for close colleague Andrew Smith, 37, when he marries his fiancé, Fiona Scott, 31, on Saturday afternoon.

Andrew works with registrars across the county as a support officer and works closely with Louise at the Carlisle office. 

Louise said: "It will not be the first time I've performed the marriage ceremony for people I know, but it's the first time I have done so for a colleague - it's different this time and I'm more nervous, but it will be very nice."
