The next meeting of the Upper Kent Neighbourhood Forum will take place at Sedgwick Village Hall on Wednesday 7th December, 2005.
A Sedgwick resident will start the Forum by giving a brief update on what’s happening in the village, and this will be followed by feedback on specific issues from previous Forums. There will also be the opportunity to swap local information on meetings, events etc. and listen to representatives from local groups applying for Forum grants.
The first of the three speakers in a busy agenda will be Susan Winters talking about how the Womens’ Institute organisation has changed locally and nationally and whether it still merits the jam and Jerusalem image? Following on from Susan, Jason Leach from British Waterways will report on what has happened to date with the Lancaster Canal Restoration and what work is in the pipeline.
Finally, Christine Knipe, the new Chief Executive of the Westmorland Agricultural Society, will explain her role within the Society and the Society’s role within the farming community.
The meeting will start at 7.30pm
Forums are public meetings and all are welcome. Please call 01539 773180 if you require additional information.
