Cumbria County Council's Library Service will be closing down over the Christmas period on Christmas Eve.
All libraries will run to their normal timetable up to 13.00 on Saturday 24th December 2005.
After that all branch libraries and mobile library services will be closed for the holiday period and reopen for business as usual on Tuesday 3rd January 2006.
However, the main libraries in Workington, Whitehaven, Carlisle, Penrith, Kendal and Barrow will be open on the 28th, 29th and 30th December from 10.00 to 17.00.
