'Love is in the air' at Moorfield Street kitchen in Barrow on 14th February as meals on wheels staff and volunteers get into the St Valentines day spirit.
Cumbria Contract Services staff and meals on wheels volunteers will be dressing up in red outfits, the kitchen will be decorated in a romantic theme and valentine biscuits will be served with each cuppa for everyone who comes along.
County councillor Tim Heslop, cabinet spokesman for Cumbria Contract Services said:
"This is a fun promotion to raise awareness about meals on wheels. The meals on wheels service provides invaluable support to frail and vulnerable people in the community and we are always looking for more volunteers. Everyone can play their part in helping frail and elderly people by being a good neighbour and ensuring that we are aware of the needs of others, especially elderly or vulnerable people living close by."
