North Cumbria.

Traffic lights at Warwick Road, Hardwick Circus and Caldewgate in Carlisle are still out due to flood damage. Damage ha seen assessed and lights will be repaired etc as soon as possible. These lights could be out for a number of days and drivers are asked to be patient and take extra care at these junctions.

Traffic lights outside Tescos on Warwick Road and a crossing on Charlotte Street are out due to power failure. These are expected to be back on early afternoon.

Drivers and pedestrians are advised to take care around Rickerby Park as strong wind has left a possible danger from wind damaged trees.

West Cumbria.

Some coastal areas have been affected by flooding.

The B5300 is closed at Dubmill near Allonby.

The A5086 is closed at Cote Brow, near Cockermouth, but is expected to reopen soon.

Overnight only three trees are reported to have come down.

South Cumbria.

Ramsden Street in Barrow is closed due to an unsafe roof.

The Coast Road A5087 in the Newbiggin area.

North Scale Road at Walney is closed due to flooding.

On a general note for all areas of the county, drivers and pedestrians are advised to take extra care if the weather turns colder. The risk of freezing standing water and continued damp road and footpath surfaces could make conditions underfoot difficult. Winter maintenance crews will be operating but the public do need to be aware of this potential risk.
