Flood-affected youngsters in Carlisle can get help and advice from Cumbria Connexions.
Last weekend's floods have closed several schools and many young people in the worst hit areas will have lost personal possessions and had their home lives disrupted.
Staff at Cumbria Connexions office on Lowther Street, Carlisle are on-hand to offer advice, information or just a sympathetic ear to anyone who cares to drop in between 11am and 5pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thurdays and Fridays. Tuesday open 1pm to 5pm, and Saturdays midday to 3pm.
Cumbria Connexions free phone line will also be offering the same service on 0800 435 709.
County Councillor Joan Stocker, Cumbria County Council spokeswoman for education, said:
"It must be very upsetting for anyone to lose possessions or find themselves unable to return to their own home after an event like the floods we have seen in Carlisle. What Connexions Cumbria offers to young people caught up in all of this is practical help and advice or just someone to talk to if that's what is needed."
