Cumbria County Council is inviting residents to attend the St Aidan's emergency neighbourhood forum meeting to discuss the aftermath of last weekend's floods.
The meeting will be held at Greystone Community Centre on Close Street on Tuesday 18th January at 10am. County and City councillors and officers as well as representatives from various agencies will be on hand to give advice to residents of St Aidan's and the surrounding areas affected by the floods.
County councillor Reg Watson, chairman of the forum, said:
"Last weekend's flood has devastated the whole of this area and residents, I'm sure, still have questions they want answered. The various agencies who dealt with the emergency as well as those involved in the recovery will be at the meeting to talk to residents first hand about their concerns. I hope as many people as possible will come along."
For more information, residents can contact Sheila O'Donnell at Cumbria County Council's Carlisle Area Support Office on 01228 606317.
