Norman Street School will be open again to pupils on Wednesday 19th January. Since the floods hit Carlisle last weekend the school has been acting as a food distribution centre offering respite and hot food to local flood-hit households.
Because the school has being used in this way over the past week it now requires a 'freshen-up' before pupils return. Cumbria County Council's education service is currently writing to all parents informing them of the situation.
