24/1/2005 - Budget and transport priorities to be discussed at Stanwix Urban neighbourhood forum

The next neighbourhood forum for residents of Stanwix Urban ward will be held on Wednesday 26th January at Burnside Court, Rose bery Road in Stanwix at 7pm.

The meeting has been organised to specifically address budget priorities, consultation for the County's local transport plan and a new community plan for the area.

Chair of the forum, councillor Liz Mallinson said:

"This meeting has been arranged so residents within this community can be consulted on three very important issues. We will be discussing the budget for the county council so residents are informed where the budget priorities are and understand the limitations for spending we have. We will also be looking at the county's local transport plan. This highlights various issues from road safety, school travel, and cycle and highway network as a whole. Also on the agenda is the new community plan for the area, so if anyone is interested in these issues please come along on Wednesday."
