Cumbria County Council is inviting residents to attend the Botcherby emergency neighbourhood forum meeting to discuss the aftermath of the recent floods.
The meeting will be held at St Cuthbert's School in Botcherby on Tuesday 25th January at 3.30pm. County and City councillors and officers as well as representatives from various agencies will be on hand to give advice to residents of the area who have been affected by the floods.
Chair of the forum, councillor Anne Glendinning said:
"Many residents in Botcherby have been affected by the recent flooding. Anyone who still has questions they want answered or even just some general advice to come to this meeting on Tuesday. Application forms for financial support from the Cumbria Flood Recovery Fund will also be available. The county council believes this is the most effective method of distributing financial support and would encourage people to make applications. Our own Neighbourhood Development Officers will be more than happy to help local people complete the forms. Agencies who were directly involved in the emergency as well as those now dealing with the recovery will be on hand to answer any questions and give advice, so please come along."
