6/1/2005 - Continued consultation on changes for North Cumbria Health Services

The next Brampton and District Neighbourhood Forum meeting will be held in the small lecture theatre at William Howard School on Monday 10th January at 7.30pm. As well as normal grant applications and police matters the forum will again look at the options for change for North Cumbria Health Services and what the implications might be for Brampton Cottage Hospital.

Chairman of the forum, councillor Kevan Wilkinson said:

"At the meeting in November, the forum discussed the options for change for North Cumbria Health Services. Some of these changes will obviously have an effect on the way services are currently provided and will have implications for Brampton Cottage Hospital. Members of the public were able to come along and join in that consultation and ask any questions or raise any concerns they had with a representative from North Cumbria PCT. This consultation will continue over the next few weeks. The PCT will be consulting directly with the League of Friends and the Brampton Medical Practice. We are inviting the PCT to come back to the January meeting to keep us all up to date with what's happening. Anyone who missed the last meeting and wants to know more about the consultation is welcome to come along on the 10th."

Grant applications will also be considered at the meeting. Any groups wanting to apply for funding can get application forms from Carlisle Area Support Team on 01228 606730.
