Barrow Fire Station is hosting recruitment events throughout August to encourage more people to join Cumbria County Council's Fire and Rescue Service.
The Station will host recruitment and information sessions on the 3rd, 9th and 19th August starting at 6:30pm
These sessions are designed to promote the Fire and Rescue Service as a career, particularly for people in the Barrow area where recruitment has traditionally been relatively low.
The sessions will give potential recruits the opportunity to talk with exisiting Firefighters about all aspects of the recruitment process and life in the Fire and Rescue Service. In particular, Firefighters will be on hand to outline the varied and rewarding work that the Fire and Rescue Service can offer. There will also be a chance to look around Barrow's Station.
Bernard Dolan, Cumbria's Chief Fire Officer says:
"We will warmly welcome everyone to these recruitment events. I would encourage anyone who is interested in pursuing a career with the Fire and Rescue service, or anyone who would simply like to know more about the role, to come along. Our Firefighters will be happy to answer any questions and will be able to give a good insight into what the job is like."
Please come along to one of the events and find out what the Fire and Rescue Service has to offer.
