2. Changing the two hour waiting times to three hours
Proposals will be advertised for:
1. 20mph speed limit through the town centre
2. West of Moot Hall on Boroughgate becomes a one way street
3. Changes to parking arrangements to enable the town centre scheme to be progressed
All the proposed changes will be advertised and consulted on.
Councillor Gary Strong, chairman of the local committee said:
"To enable the Appleby Town Centre Enhancement Scheme to be implemented various changes to the current traffic regluation orders are needed. Changes with waiting times, more disabled and coach parking and improved road safety will all contribute to the implementation of a great scheme for Appleby enhancing the area as a whole."
