Cumbria County Council’s Library Service will be smashing its traditional silence and causing a commotion as their "Make a Noise in Libraries" fortnight comes to Carlisle Library.
Make a Noise in Libraries events begin in Carlisle when the Appleby based Music Vision Project plays at the Library between 14.00 and 16.00, Thursday 14th July. The project are playing at all the main libraries across Cumbria throughout July.
The Music Vision Project helps people with disabilities and mental health problems to have more self-confidence through composing and performing music.
Some of the Music Vision Project musicians will be playing their own compositions and everyone is invited to come along and enjoy their music.
Roger Bingham, Cumbria County Council spokesman for Libraries says:
"Cumbria’s libraries have become important and vibrant centres for the communities they serve, with a varied schedule of events throughout the year. We are delighted to welcome the Music Vision Project and encourage everyone who can to come along and enjoy their music on the day."
