6/6/2005 - Safety in the home priority for Harraby neighbourhood forum

Harraby residents will be able to find out more about a new 'safety in the home ' initiative at the next neighbourhood forum for the area.

The meeting will be held at Harraby Community Centre at 11am on Friday 10th June.

Community Safety Co-ordinator, Tracey O'Roarty from Cumbria County Council's Fire Service will be at the meeting to explain how the initiative can benefit residents and answer any questions they may have.

County councillor Mike Richardson, chair of the forum said:

"Neighbourhood forum meeting are a great way for residents to air their views on issues that are important to them and the community.   This next meeting will give residents an opportunity to find out more about this new safety in the home initiative.   We will also have our local community police officer on hand to talk to residents and will be supporting community groups in the area funding various projects benefiting Harraby residents.   I hope that as many residents take the time to attend the meeting on Friday."
