28/6/2005 - Residents kept up to date with housing projects in Penrith

Residents in Penrith will hear about the ongoing work in the area of Eden Housing Association at the next county council neighbourhood forum meeting for the area.

A representative from the Association will give residents a presentation about ongoing projects and the development of tenant and resident groups at the next meeting on Monday 4th July at 7.30pm at St Andrew's Parish Rooms in Penrith.

County councillor Mike Ash will be chairing the meeting. He said:

"This forum will give residents an opportunity to find out more about the work of Eden Housing Association and air their views on any issue they may have about their work. Information on housing development needs to be shared with local residents to keep them up to date with what's happening in their community. The neighbourhood forum gives people an opportunity to keep up to date with what's happening in their area and enables us to address the issues that are important to them."

Other issues on the agenda include:

1. Policing priorities and community safety

2. Young people's question and answer session

3. Update from last meeting of the Penrith Parking Group

Anyone wanting more information about the forum should contact the county council's area support team for Eden on 01434 382128 or 01768 242368 or check out www.cumbria.gov.uk/neighbourhoodforums.
