10/3/2005 - Services to young people priority of neighbourhood forum

The future of how Cumbria County Council will deliver services for young people in Carlisle will be discussed at the next meeting of Belah and Lowry Hill neighbourhood forum. The meeting will be on Tuesday 15th March at 7pm in the CDC centre meeting room, Kingmoor Junior School in Carlisle.

Police matters as well as normal grant applications will also be discussed at the meeting.

County councillor Alan Toole, chairman of the forum said:

"I am pleased that Pat Norris, the county council's youth work co-ordinator will be at this meeting to explain how services are going to be delivered to the young people in this area. We will also be considering grant applications from voluntary groups across the area. At the last meeting we approved nearly £3k to community groups and projects which will benefit many local people."
