22/3/2005 - Meals on Wheels Staff and Volunteers Hop into Easter Costume

The staff at Cumbria Contract Services and Meals on Wheels volunteers will be hopping into costume and getting into the Easter spirit at Moorfield Street Kitchen, Barrow on Wednesday 23rd March.

The event starts at 10.45am and the Meals on Wheels team will be dressing up as Easter Bunnies and serving ‘Easter biscuits’ with tea and coffee for everyone who comes along.

County councillor Tim Heslop, cabinet spokesman for Cumbria Contract Services said:

"Everyone will be enjoying this fun Easter themed day and doing their best to raise awareness about Meals on Wheels. The Meals on Wheels service provides invaluable support to many vulnerable people in the community and all the staff and volunteers do a magnificent job. We are always looking for more volunteers and would welcome any new faces along to join in the fun this Wednesday."
