Cumbria County Council has joined forces with Carlisle City Council and Carlisle Churches Flood Recovery to host three events to support and offer advice to anyone in the area affected by the January floods.
The events are being held because there are still many people affected by the floods who are still unaware about the amount of financial and practical help and advice that is available to them. The events are as follows:
Community Day, Thursday 12th May 3pm - 5pm and 6.30pm - 8pm at Crosby Village Hall. This will give residents an opportunity to talk about any issues relating to the affects of the recent floods in the city. People will have an opportunity to discuss their concerns with various organisations.
Saturday 14th May sees the launch of the Flood Information Advice Centre at the Old Town Hall in Carlisle. Everyone welcome to come along between 10am and 4pm.
Information and consultation forum at Crosby Village Hall on Thursday 19th May at 7pm. The county council's emergency planning team will give a presentation and be on hand to answer any questions relating to their role during the emergency.
