The school has continued to improve in many areas since the last inspection and pupil's achievements are higher than the national trend.

Inspectors acknowledge through good teaching and good leadership and management, pupils make good progress during their time at the school. Standards in English and Maths are good and pupils achieve above the national average in both subjects by the end of Year 6. Also highlighted in the report is the school’s success in working with other schools throughout the area to explore ideas that help develop teaching and curriculum expertise.

Headteacher, Dianne Irving said:

"I am delighted that Ofsted has confirmed what everyone involved with Penruddock School already knew: that we have a good school which has made significant improvements in a number of areas over the past two years. The school has high expectations for pupils of all abilities and these are reflected in our high academic standards which are higher than national averages and are on an increasingly upward trend. I was thrilled that the excellent relationships between staff and pupils was recognised within the report as a cornerstone of the school and that our pupils spoke so highly of our staff and of the fun and exciting education they receive here."
