22/11/2005 - Millom residents to hear from the NDA

Cumbria County Council's Neighbourhood Forum for Millom will hear from the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority at their meeting on Monday 28th November at 7.00pm in the Guide Hall, Millom.

Richard Mrowicki, Head of Stakeholder Relations at the NDA will be on hand to explain the role, work and vision of the NDA and its aims for the future. Residents are also invited along to hear a presentation from Copeland Homes on their plans for investment in the area.

Forum grants will be considered to fund a number of projects in the area.

Ray Cole, County Councillor for Millom says:

"I hope people can make time to come along to the meeting on Monday. It’s a great opportunity for residents to hear from two agencies whose work and future programmes will have a major impact in and around Millom. The Neighbourhood Forum is also an ideal chance for residents to raise any other concerns they have and have their say on the issues that are important to them."

Anyone wanting to know more about the forum or apply for a grant should contact the county council's area support team for Copeland on 01946 855022.
