22/11/2005 - Solway Coast to hear vision for the future

The next meeting of Cumbria County Council's Solway Coast Neighbourhood Forum will be held on Wedenesday 30th November in Mawbray Village Hall at 7.00pm.

Residents are invited along to hear from Allerdale Borough Council’s Carole Carr. Carol will outline the borough council’s vision for the future of rural communities and the opportunities it will provide in and around the Solway Coast.

The Neigbourhood Forum is an ideal opportunity for residents to raise any other concerns that they have. Forum grants will be considered to fund a number of projects in the area. Refreshments will be served from 6.45pm

Tony Markley, county councillor for Solway Coast says:

"Neighbourhood Forum meetings are the perfect chance for residents to air their views on all the issues that are important to them, so I hope people can make it to the next meeting. We try to put together agendas that address the concerns that local people have but we are always keen to hear suggestions for future agendas.”

Anyone wanting to know more about the forum or apply for a grant should contact the county council's area support team for Allerdale on 01900 325013.
