After last week's severe weather, residents in Harraby will be able to get more flooding advice at the next neighbourhood forum meeting.
A representative from the Environment Agency will be on hand to answer any questions or give advice to anyone that has again been affected. Other items on the agenda include:
1. Police matters - The Local Community Police Officer will be at the meeting to give residents the opportunity to raise any issue or concern in the neighbourhood
2. Sure Start Parents Film - Barriers to learning & celebrating parent's achievements
3. Carlisle Renaissance - A representative from Carlisle City Council will present plans for the re-development of Carlisle after the severe flooding in January
4. Grants - The forum will consider grant applications from voluntary groups across the area for various community projects
County councillor Mike Richardson, chairman of the forum said:
"This community has again been affected by last week's torrential rain. I am pleased that we have been able to get a representative from the Environment Agency to come along on Friday and listen to the concerns of our residents."
The forum will meet on Friday 21st October at 11am at North Cumbria Technology College conference room.
