28/10/2005 - Public meeting on B5307 for residents of Thurstonfield

Residents of Thurstonfield and the surrounding area are being invited to a public meeting to hear about Cumbria County Council's plans to repair a damaged culvert in the village.

All residents will be receiving a letter about the meeting and the situation in the village where the collapse of the culvert in March has reduced the B5307 to a single lane.

The public meeting will be held on Wednesday, 2nd November, in Kirkbampton School, at 7pm.

John Collier, county councillor for Dalston and Cummersdale, will chair the meeting and Duncan Fairburn, county councillor for Bowness, Thursby and Caldbeck, will also attend.

Representatives from the county council, United Utilities and the Environment Agency will give a brief presentation and respond to questions from members of the public.
