Furness College Day Nursery will be able to continue their invaluable support to children and families in the area, thanks to the county council's local committee for Barrow.
The £13k grant awarded today will go towards the continued provision of respite care and support to families and children throughout the Barrow area.
County councillor Alan Nicholson, chairman of the local committee said:
"I am pleased, as always, to be able to provide help to early years groups, all of which offer a very valuable service to our youngest members of society and their families. The grant to Furness College Day Nursery will make sure that the excellent childcare facilities already provided to the most vulnerable children in this area are maintained in the future."
