Yewdale residents will be asked for their ideas about the exciting Carlisle Renaissance project at the next neighbourhood forum meeting.
Residents will be able to hear about the proposals to regenerate the City outlining how some physical, economic and social regeneration projects could change the face of Carlisle over the next 10 years.
Carlisle Renaissance is a partnership between Carlisle City Council and Cumbria County Council. Over the next few months the public will be able to air their view about the regeneration plans.
County councillor, Helen Horne, chair of the forum said:
"This is a really exciting project which will give us an opportunity to regenerate this City for the better. We want to hear the views of people in this area about what they think of the proposed plans. I hope everyone takes time to attend the meeting on Wednesday to find out more."
Other items on the agenda include:
1. Traffic calming on Yewdale Road - Representative from Capita will be at the meeting asking residents their opinions on traffic calming measures on Yewdale Road
2. Neighbourhood Forum grant applications
3. Police matters
The forum will meet at Yewdale Community Centre on Wednesday 5th October at 7pm. Anyone wanting to find out more about the forum or apply for a community grant should contact the county council's area support team for Carlisle on 01228 606570.
