30/8/2006 - 3cStudio launches in Cumbria

Cumbria County Council has launched a new advertising, graphics and print business.

3cStudio is unique one-stop shop that incorporates the former departments covering advertising, graphics and print that all used to work independently. 

In a rare move for a local authority, 3cStudio is a complete communications agency offering fresh and exciting design solutions not only for Cumbria County Council but also external clients and partner organisations. It will comprise a single studio with the pooled resources of a high-tech print house, a creative graphic design team and a PPA-recognised advertising agency.

David Mitchell, who went to school in Cumbria, has been appointed new Studio Manager after working as an art director at Pipsqeak Media and before that as a head of the design department at Haymarket Publishing. He said: "I've moved back to my roots after spotting the potential of 3cStudio. The exciting thing is every communication job is possible.

"It’s a very dexterous studio with skills and expertise across the board to see jobs through from concept to delivery. We've got a lot to offer in raising the level of support to each council department and also to compete for more external work."
