The Lakes Neighbourhood Forum will take place on Wednesday, 1st February, at 7.30pm in the Kelsick Centre, Ambleside.
The meeting will open with updates on local projects including St. Mary’s Hall and the Lakes Children’s Centre.
The first of the three speakers will then explain how the Morecambe Bay Health Trust is responding to national policy ‘drivers’ to ensure it delivers high quality patient care now and in the future.
The second speaker, Bob Sutcliffe from the Lake District National Park Authority, will talk about changes in the planning system and how people can get involved.
Ruth Jenkinson, Ambleside Campus Principal, will then outline the aims of the St. Martin’s College Community Liaison Group and report on some of the issues raised and addressed since it was set up.
Finally, there will be the opportunity to listen to representatives from local groups applying to the forum for a grant, to share or publicise any local information and raise any other issues.
The Lakes Forum serves the Lakes Wards of Ambleside, Grasmere, Langdale, Rydal & Loughrigg and Troutbeck and meetings are held in public. All are welcome.
