The next meeting of the Kendal Neighbourhood Forum will take place on Wednesday, 2nd August, 7pm at the Kendal Town Hall.
The first item on an agenda of particular interest to Kendal residents is Lucy McQuillan who will explain what a ‘give and take’ day is and how Kendal can use it. Lucy will be followed by district council officers who will explain what the council is doing to deal with the problem of waste and suggest ways in which the public can help.
A presentation by Bernard Dolan, Cumbria Chief Fire Officer and Corporate Director for Public Protection follows. Mr. Dolan will explain Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service’s proposals for 2007/8 and how the Kendal area will be affected.
The final speaker will be Nick Raymond, county council South Lakes area engineer, who will explain how the Kendal cycle spine route will start taking shape.
Finally, there will be the opportunity to listen to representatives from local groups applying to the Forum for a grant, and to share or publicise any local information.
The Forum is a public meeting and all are welcome.
