9/3/2006 - Lakes forum to hear from new Town Centre Manager

Residents will get a chance to hear from new Town Centre Manager Michaela Markland at the next meeting of the Lakes Neighbourhood Forum on Tuesday 14 March.  

Michaela will outline what is involved in being town centre manager for the Windermere and Lakes parishes, and what her priorities are as she starts her new job. 

Michaela's presentation is part of a busy forum agenda, which will also hear from: 

- Bob Sutcliffe of the Lake District National Park Authority about the authority's plans to change and improve 

- Bev Dennison and Alex Sanders with an update on the Grasmere Sustainability   Project, including plans for the village hall

- Jo Chaffer from Friends of the Lake Dsitrict about Open Spaces Green Places and 

- a Fair Trade representative who will explain how Cumbria became only the second county in the UK to achieve a Fair Trade award.

As always, there will be an opportunity to share or publicise any local information and raise any other issues.
