31/5/2006 - Kent Estuary Neighbourhood Forum June 7th

The next meeting of the Kent Estuary Neighbourhood Forum will be held on Wednesday, 7th June, at Helsington & Brigsteer Village Hall.

Heading a busy agenda, a Brigsteer resident will give a brief report on life in the village.  This will be followed by Judith Derbyshire and Julie Sykes from Cumbria Rural Housing Trust who will explain how the Trust works with local communities to find solutions to the issue of affordable homes.

Ann Buchannan from the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust will explain the need for the acute services review recently reported in the local press and its implications for people in the area.

There will also be the opportunity to discuss two new Women's Instistute resolutions; announce local pieces of information, meeting dates etc. and listen to representatives from local groups explain their applications to the Forum for a grant.

The Forum, which starts at 7.30pm, is a public meeting and all are welcome.
