Whitehaven's Greenbank Community Centre is the venue for the next South Whitehaven Neighbourhood Forum meeting which gets underway on Wednesday 12 September, at 7:00pm.
Topping the agenda at this month's meeting is an update on the underground survey of the area which has been carried out for the Home Group housing association.
There will also be a chance for Greenbank residents to discuss maintenance issues with representatives from the housing association
The meeting will include an opportunity for people to find out more about the Home Safety Checks provided free by Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service.
Figures show that 70 per cent of fire fatalities occur before the Fire and Rescue Service has been called - making it a priority for Cumbrian firefighters to try and make sure everyone, especially people in high risk groups, knows what to do to reduce their risk.
Watch Manager Mark Smith will be on hand to tell people how they can reduce the risk of fire and other accidents in their homes.
Feedback on issues raised at previous Forums will be given including Copeland Homes' Housing Market Renewal strategy and the South Whitehaven Neighbourhood Management Initiative
Free refreshments will be available and everyone is welcome. Please call Neighbourhood Development Officer Dave Smith 019 46-855022 if you require additional information.
