University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust is currently consulting on its application for foundation trust status.
At the next meeting of the Kendal Neighbourhood Forum, Tim Bennett will discuss the consultation process involved and explain how people can register as members or prospective governors of the trust.
The forum meeting will be held at 7pm on Tuesday, December 11, at Kendal College on Milnthorpe Road.
Also on the agenda, Nick Raymond Cumbria County Council area engineer for South Lakeland, will outline the proposed Riverside Leisure Route in Kendal, explain the consultation process and what’s happened so far.
Donna Story from Cumbria County Council’s Adult Social Care, will give a presentation on the Telecare scheme which provides a telephone based community alarm service for older people living in their own homes. Donna will explain the scheme and the equipment will be available to view.
There will also be reports on local projects, the opportunity to listen to representatives from local groups applying to the forum for a grant and to share or publicise any local information.
The forum is a public meeting and everyone is welcome.
