Wind energy generation will be on the agenda at the next meeting of the Upper Kent Neighbourhood Forum on December 12.
Jenny Wain from Cumbria County Council will explain the policy and local context of renewable energy generation from the wind, then a representative of the company proposing a wind generation development for Old Hutton will explain what stage their plans are at.
Also on the agenda, local resident Brenda Kell will give a view of life in the area. Then Janet Cherry from South Lakeland Council for Voluntary Service will explain the services the organisation offers to voluntary and community groups.
Kay Gilbey, University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust, will talk about the application for foundation trust status and explain how people can get involved and contribute to the consultation.
There will also be the opportunity to swap local information on meetings and events etc and to listen to representatives from local groups applying for forum grants.
The forum will start at 7.30pm on Wednesday, December 12, at Skelsmergh Community Hall.
