Fairfield Infant School at Cockermouth has received a glowing Ofsted report after inspectors visited the school on November 28 and 29 this year.
The infant school on Gallowbarrow in the town received top marks from inspectors in each and every category of assessment.
Inspectors comments included: "The school provides an outstanding education and gives excellent value for money....Parents agree when they say: 'If I could name a perfect school it would be Fairfield infants'... Outstanding leadership and management underpin pupil's excellent achievement and their exemplary personal development....The quality of provision at foundation stage is excellent...Achievement is excellent for all groups of pupils...Pupil's personal development, including their spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is outstanding...teaching is of a consistently high quality."
Head teacher Fran Dryden said: "It is a great privilege to work with such a wonderful team of pupils, staff, parents and governors and I am delighted that the high quality of the work in our school has been recognised by the inspection team."
Chair of Governors Charlie Scales, said: "The OFSTED results are a vindication of the commitment and enthusiasm of all involved, in particular the head-teacher, staff and not least the children in making Fairfield Infants a ‘fun place’ to learn."
