2/2/2007 - Disability survey

A new survey which will help build a picture of life in Cumbria for people with physical disabilities and sensory impairments who receive help to live at home is being sent to a randomly selected sample of service users around the county next week.

The Annual User Experience Survey is being carried out by Cumbria County Council and will use postal, audio, telephone and Braille questionnaires to gain the views of around 500 people aged 18-64 on the services they receive.

The results from the survey, which will be published before the end of the year, will be used by Cumbria County Council and the Department of Health to help build a clearer picture of where improvements can be made in the support given to people in with physical disabilities and sensory impairments in Cumbria.
