26/1/2007 - County council targets charity

Cumbria County Council is looking to the Carlisle business community for teams of sharp-shooters to take part in a fun-packed charity fund raising event.

Local businsesses are being invited to enter a Laser Quest Team Challenge and help raise money for the county council chairman Alan Caine's chosen charities - the Great North Air Ambulance and Alzheimer's Society.

Prospective teams will need to spare one hour between 12:00noon and 2:00pm on either Monday 29 January, Tuesday 30 January or Thursday 1 February. The grand-final will be held on Friday 2 February.

Teams will go head-to-head in heats, with the three highest scoring teams progressing to the Grand Final.

Entry to the challenge costs £15 per team. Spaces are limited and teams are invited to register quickly clciking on the link below or contacting Kieran Barr on 01228-606308, or Moyra Fisher on 01228-606304.

All proceeds will be split equally between the Great North Air Ambulance and Alzheimer's Society. Facilities for the event are being provided free of charge by Carlisle Laser Quest.
