17/7/2007 - Summery flavour for Currock Neighbourhood Forum

People in Currock will get the chance to weigh up local issues while taking a stroll in the park at the next meeting of Currock neighbourhood forum on Wednesday 25th of July.

The neighbourhood forum is to be held at the Hammonds Pond Café. City and county councillors will be at the café between 5.30pm-6.30pm to hold a surgery alongside Cumbria Constabulary. The Friends of Hammonds Pond group, who have been instrumental in changing the popular Carlisle beauty spot, will then arrange a walk around Hammonds Pond to explain the changes they've helped instigate.

Currock neighbourhood forum meets three to four times a year. Recent forums have discussed youth issues, anti-social behaviour , vandalism, Sure Start, and traffic calming. The forum has close contact with all the schools in the area and with the community centres and youth clubs.
