There's a lot to shout about in Cumbria's libraries next month as they once again celebrate national Make a Noise in Libraries Fortnight (2-15 July).
Cumbria County Council is supporting the annual event which highlights services and facilities in libraries for visually impaired people.
This year, the county's libraries are marking the event by asking people to help them find Cumbria's favourite talking book narrator.
From now and until the end of July, visitors to any Cumbrian library will be able to vote for the reading voice they revere most. The result from the vote will be published at the end of next month.
Cumbria's Library Service has over 19,000 talking books and 38,000 large print books which cover all tastes, from the classics to the latest bestsellers.
Roger Bingham, Cumbria County Council spokesman for Libraries says: "Cumbria's libraries have a huge range of special items for visually impaired people and 'Make a Noise in Libraries fortnight' is a good way of highlighting this.
"Over the next month people can come along to their local library, let us know who their favourite talking book narrator is, and explore the range of items on offer."
