Kent Estuary Quarries is one of the topics on the agenda of the next Kent Estuary Neighbourhood Forum to be held at Lane Farm, Crooklands, at 7.30pm on Wednesday, 6th June.
Rachel Brophy, senior minerals planning officer with Cumbria County Council, will give a brief update on issues and any future plans for quarries in the area.
In light of the continuing concern about the future of services at Westmorland General Hospital, Peter Clarke, public engagement & partnership lead with Cumbria Primary Care Trust, will provide an update from the Primary Care Trust's view.
Prior to this, a local resident will give a brief report about life in the Crooklands area. Feedback from previous meetings and updates on local projects will be given, including an update on the Northern Reaches project.
Finally, there will be the opportunity to announce forthcoming events and listen to representatives from local groups explain their applications to the forum for a grant.
The forum, which starts at 7.30pm, is a public meeting and all are welcome.
(Lane Farm is signed from the B6385 Milnthorpe - Crooklands road and is the showfield site).
