Hundreds of South Lakes schoolchildren will be getting the lowdown on firework safety in the run up to this Bonfire Night celebrations.
Starting on Monday 15 October, firefighters and community safety officers will be visiting schools to talk to Year 6 and 8 pupils about the dangers of neglecting firework safety.
More than 700 schoolchildren are expected to receive the no-nonsense message not to fool with fireworks as 5th November draw closer.
The presentations will cover general safety, firework legislation and the action that can be taken against anyone caught using fireworks illegally.
Cumbria police are also involved in the education campaign which, alongside schools, will see firefighters and police officers giving talks to Brownie and Cub groups in the south of the county.
Justine, Liddell, community safety coordinator for Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service, said: "These visits are all about showing young people the dangers of fireworks.
"By getting across the important message not to fool with fireworks, we can hopefully help make the time around this year's Bonfire Night an enjoyable and safe experience for everyone."
