10/10/2007 - Upper Kent Neighbourhood Forum

At the October meeting of the Upper Kent Neighbourhood Forum, local resident Enid Holmes will give a brief overview of life in the Natland area.

Enid will be followed by Richard Suddaby of Eden LA21 who will talk about simple and everyday actions we can all take to reduce our impact on the environment. Be prepared to ask yourself some awkward questions and change your behaviour accordingly.

Caroline Watson will explain the Rural Wheels scheme - an innovative public transport scheme which can provide a door-to-door transport service for those people who either do not have a bus service or are unable to use their local service.

There will also be the opportunity to swap local information on meetings, events etc. and listen to representatives from local groups applying for forum grants.

The forum will start at 7.30pm on Monday 15 October at Natland & Oxenholme Village Hall.

Forums are public meetings and all are welcome. Please call 01539 773180 if you require additional information or visit www.cumbriaforums.org.uk
