Drivers in Barrow are being urged to seek alternative routes where possible to avoid disruption while resurfacing work takes place on Abbey Road.
The work, which is being carried out by Cumbria Highways, involves planning and resurfacing a section of carriageway on Abbey Road between Rating Lane and Infield Crescent.
The work will begin on Monday 1st October and working hours will be 7am till 4pm. It is expected to last for five days and temporary traffic signals will be in operation.
