Allhallows Community Centre is the venue for the next Aspatria and District Neighbourhood Forum on Wednesday 23 April, at 7:00pm.
The meeting gets underway with an opportunity for people to help develop a community travel plan for Allhallows, Blennerhasset and Torpenhow. The plan will look at all aspects of travel, including walking, cycling, public transport and the safe use of cars.
Representatives from Allerdale Borough Council, United Utilities and the Environment Agency will also be on hand to listen to local residents' concerns over the spreading of sewage sludge on agricultural land.
There will then be a chance to take part in Cumbria County Council’s consultation on plans to build six, new residential homes for older people in the county.
Feedback on issues raised at previous Forums will also be given alongside an opportunity to listen to representatives from local groups applying for a grant, to share or publicise any local information and raise any other issues.
Free Fairtrade refreshments will be available and everyone is welcome. Please call Neighbourhood Development Officer Pat Ackred on 01900-325010 if you require additional information.
