19/12/2008 - Kells and Sandwith by-election results

A new county councillor for Kells and Sandwith has been elected after a by-election yesterday (December 18).

Wendy Skillicorn, Labour candidate, won by 16 votes. The results are as follows:

The percentage of turnout was 26.6%
 
The new county councillor's address is 21 Thornton Road,Whitehaven.Cumbria CA28 6UW. 

The by-election was called following the death of Cllr Joe McAllister in July 2008. He was Labour councillor for Kells and Sandwith since 1995.
