17/1/2008 - North West Copeland Neighbourhood Forum

Distington Community Centre is the venue for the next North West Copeland Neighbourhood Forum which gets underway on Wednesday 30 January, at 7:00pm.

The meeting kicks off with a talk by Paul Mavin from the North Cumbria Acute Hospitals Trust who will explain how more people can get involved in their local hospital’s future.

Andrew Reed, from the Cumbria Energy Efficiency Advice Centre, will then take to the stage to talk about energy conservation and hand out free energy saving light bulbs.

There will also be a presentation from the Distington rural Safety Group and the chance to question the group’s chairperson Gary Hewer and PC Adrian Braniff.

Feedback on issues raised at previous Forums will be given including an update from the Cumbria Road Safety Partnership CRASH group.

There will be the chance to hear representatives from local groups applying to the Forum for a grant, to share or publicise any local information and raise any other issues.

Free refreshments will be available and everyone is welcome to attend. Please call Neighbourhood Development Officer Marilyn Pritchard on 01946-855023 if you require additional information.
