Cumbria County Council's adult social care staff will be celebrating their achievements next week as care staff, social workers, administrative staff and managers receive NVQ awards and other qualifications.
More than 240 staff from the county council's adult social care directorate have earned NVQs in Care, Administration, Management and other awards alongside professional awards including Post Qualifying Awards, Masters in Social Work and Approved Social Work Awards.
In most cases the presentations are the culmination of 12-18 months - or even longer - of training, study and vocational practice. The employees will receive their awards at two ceremonies being held on the 29th and 31st January.
These latest awards and qualifications are part of Cumbria County Council’s ongoing commitment to training and development.
The two ceremonies taking place are:
- 29 January, Abbey House Hotel, Barrow (11am - 1pm)
- 31 January, Greenhill's Hotel, Nr Wigton (11am - 1pm)
Senior managers from Cumbria Care and Cumbria Adult Social Care will be presenting certificates at each event.
