Gosforth Methodist Church Hall is the venue for the next Gosforth and Ennerdale Neighbourhood Forum meeting on Monday 7 July.
Before the meeting starts Copeland Borough Council’s leader, councillor Elaine Woodburn, will be on hand from 6:30pm to answer questions from the public.
At 7:00pm, the Forum gets underway with a presentation from councillor Woodburn on the Government’s White Paper, Managing Radioactive Waste Safely.
Cumbria County Council’s public transport officer Caroline Watson will then talk about Rural Wheels, a community scheme that provides door-to-door transport at a reasonable cost.
John Bragg, project officer for Our Green Space, will also be there to answer questions about the restoration and interpretation of the two village greens at Wasdale Head and Nether Wasdale.
Feedback on issues raised at previous Forums will also be given alongside an opportunity to listen to representatives from local groups applying for a grant, to share or publicise any local information and raise any other issues.
Free refreshments will be available and everyone is welcome. Please contact Maria Lenney at the county council's Neighbourhood Forum team if you require additional information on 01946-505019
