22/5/2008 - Belly dancing and scoobies at Eden's celebration of learning

Belly dancing, scoobie making, pots and plants and French lessons are just some of the taster sessions that will be on offer at Eden Rural Foyer this Friday (23 May) as part of Adult Learners Week.

Eden Rural Foyer Partnership and Eden Mencap have joined together to provide a fun day of learning for local people, to give them an idea of the sort of courses that are available for adult learners.

There will also be opportunities to learn how to use the internet, plus pottery, and health and beauty tasters. There will be information from adult learner providers from the area as well.

There may be more to celebrate at this year's Adult Learning event than normal, as Tracy Richardson, who is part of Eden Mencap, has been nominated for the Northern Learning Award and will be attending the award ceremony in Stockport on Thursday 22 May.

All the taster events are free, and will be taking place at Eden Rural Foyer between 10am and 4pm on Friday.
